
All About Finches
The finch or known as genus Poephila is the most beautiful and most
diversified among other domesticated birds. There are hundred of
existing finch species in the world. They are native to almost every
corner of the globe.
Breeding,
caring and watching finches provide many
hours of enjoyment. That's why people from different side of the world
spend time and effort in caring a finch.

Finches are most abundant in more moderate climates and in the tropics.
Their size range from a little over a couple of inches to about 15 or
sixteen inches in length including the tail. Their feathering represents
almost every color combination.
An example of which is the beautiful
Lady Gouldian Finch that has a rainbow burst with shades of purple,
yellow, red, blue and green. Also, there are finches that comes in solid
colors like the steel-blue Combassou and the Mannikins.
Most finches have lovely songs, that is one of their most admirable
traits. Most of them can
be found in Australia, South America, India and Mexico.
